Creative Colour
Understanding your relationship with colour can help in your creative practice or simply give you confidence in colour choices in your everyday life. This workshop is designed to help you use colour as a means of expression and discover your own unique affinity with ‘colour’
AIMS of the day
to gain confidence in using colour in your creative practice
gain an understanding as to why you are always drawn to the same type of colours
understand the tonal differences of the different hues and how that can be use to create emotion and connection
how and where to find inspiration for colour palettes
Through different colour exercises we will explore
basic colour mixing
colour analogs - expression and representation
colour psychology - understanding how it relates to you
looking at other artists and designers and how they’ve used colour to express emotion
create colour moodboards that can be used in other creative projects

If you use colour in your job this workshop will give you more confidence in talking ‘colour’ with your clients.
if you want a deeper understanding of colour to use in your creative practice
or if you want simply want to understand why you like certain colours and would like more confidence in using colour in your everyday life
The workshops are held in my garden studio and are purposely kept small to allow for individual help and questions
WHAT’S PROVIDED
Basic materials and paper are provided
tea, coffee and snacks are also provided but the workshop doesn’t include lunch though you can bring lunch and eat in the studio
